Lisa Lancaster, DVM

Dr. Lisa Lancaster received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan Sate University in 2006.  Her interest in integrative whole pet health led her to pursue post-graduate training in several holistic modalities.

Dr. Lancaster completed animal chiropractic training and certification in 2006 at Parker College of Chiropractic.  She took additional training courses in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation, a gentle method of hand-held instrument adjusting for animals.  Her acupuncture training and certification was completed in 2007 at Colorado State University (CSU).  Dr. Lancaster is also trained in biopuncture, a treatment method using injections of natural and homeopathic medicines into specific acupuncture points.

When she is not practicing small animal holistic medicine, Dr. Lancaster divides her time between clinical and academic work in veterinary medicine.  She has a mobile equine practice, and conducts scientific research on horses that she began during veterinary school.  She is a teaching assistant at CSU for the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians course.

In her spare time, Dr. Lancaster enjoys snowboarding and mountain biking.  She also likes to walk in Wash Park and watch all the cute dogs.
